This is Mr. Fahrney's fifth year at Davis and he is very happy to be a part of such a wonderful school and community. Mr. Fahrney was born in Georgia, but moved to Germany and then Tennessee when he was young because his dad was in the Army. His family moved to Douglasville, Georgia when he was in first grade and he attended elementary, middle and high school in Douglas County. After high school, he attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. Shortly after he graduated, he went back to the University of Georgia to get his Master's degree so he could become a teacher.
After several years in both middle and high school teaching social studies, Mr. Fahrney decided to get a leadership degree at the University of West Georgia. For the next four years, he was an administrator at Douglas County High School and at Central High School in Carrollton, Georgia.
While he was there, he earned a Specialist's Degree from the University of West Georgia and met his future wife Rachel. They have been married for 9 years and have a wonderful 8 year old daughter named Zuri (who attends 3rd Grade at Davis).
Mr. Fahrney enjoys reading, technology, and spending time with his family. He is also huge Broncos fan and loves the Tennessee Volunteers.
