I have been teaching at Davis for 17 years.  I spent twelve years in kindergarten, two years in first grade, and three years in third grade.  While at Davis I have served on the Leadership Team for several years and editor of the Davis Buzz for the last four years.  Before teaching at Davis I worked in several early childhood programs while my husband was beginning his career in management and we were starting our family.

I grew up and and went to school in Norcross, Georgia until I was 13.  That almost made me a city girl until we moved near my grandparents home in Plevna, Alabama, where we could see cotton fields from my back door that stretched out for miles.  After graduating high school in 1986, I went to the University of North Alabama to pursue my degree in Early Childhood Education.  That is also where I met my husband, Bobby.  We have been married now for 26 years.  Nineteen years ago, after moving with his job every year since we'd gotten married, he finally brought me to his hometown on Sand Mountain which I now call home.   Bobby and I have two daughters, Rebecca and Bethany, a soon to be son in law, Alex, the best dog in the world, Eli, and a loving kitty named Chloe.  Bobby and I have tried our hand at lots of hobbies over the last few years including scrapbooking, RVing, photography, horses, and now raising a couple of cows.  Next, he wants chickens and I want goats!  We'll see.  By far, teaching is my favorite.  I feel truly blessed to have been at Davis my entire career and can't imagine being anywhere else.  I love our students and working with this faculty and staff.  Davis is the best!
